Kromount Technologies (Private) Ltd was established in 2006 and is registered under the Zimbabwe Companies Act 24.03. We are a mining company operating large and medium scale granite, gold and limestone mines within our diversified portfolio.

Our flagship mine, Vuti Quarry is Zimbabwe’s leading indigenous owned quarry mine and is supplying aggregates on a national scale to the expansive Harare, Chirundu Road improvement project.

Since 1985, McCloskey International has established a worldwide reputation for high performance products that have introduced many of today’s key mobile screening and crushing innovations. Below are quick facts about one of the outstanding machines in our fleet.

The McCloskey V80 has been designed to be one of the most efficient vertical shaft impactors (VSI) on the market and excels at producing high specification sealing aggregates, a high proportion of fines required for main roads/road-base, or manufactured sand.

Dai Nippon Construction

Kromount Technologies T/A Vuti Quarries is in partnership with Dai Nippon Construction Co, a Japanese Construction Company which specialises in road and bridge construction. Dai Nippon Construction Co also constructed the Chirundu Zambezi Bridge in partnership with their local entity Jica International

Local communities

Kromount Technologies actively engages and consults the local community from the prospective stage of establishing a mine and throughout the mining cycle. As part of our community development programmes, our recruitment process looks to recruit and train individuals from the communities in which we are situated.

Jack Makate is a Business Management professional with over 16 years mining industry experience. He has a specialism in International deal structuring and negotiation in Europe and Asia. Jack Makate has successfully structured multiple contracts for Kromount Technologies on local, national and international levels. Jack sits on the boards for non-governmental organisations including Truth and Triumph Africa.
